Sri Gopinath Gaudiya Math
In today’s world, people face numerous daily challenges and hardships. Observing the lives of ordinary individuals, it becomes evident that true happiness is rare. To teach us how to achieve genuine and eternal happiness and maintain harmonious relationships with everyone, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Lord Sri Krishna, appeared in this age of deception (Kali-yuga) as Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu.
Sri Krishna Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, though Krishna Himself, manifested in the form and mood of His eternal consort, Srimati Radha Rani. He is also known as Gauranga (golden limbs) Mahaprabhu due to the molten golden color of His physical form.
Lord Chaitanya demonstrated through His own life that true eternal welfare and pure bliss are found only in the devotional service of Lord Krishna. By engaging in activities that please the Lord, one can awaken their dormant consciousness to this truth. Srimati Radha Rani epitomizes pure devotional service, and Lord Chaitanya exhibited the same service mood in His pastimes, showing us how to engage all our senses and activities in the service of the Lord.
The term “Gaudiya” originates from the name and mood of Gauranga Mahaprabhu Himself. Since Gauranga Mahaprabhu embodied the mood of Srimati Radha Rani, He constantly felt intense separation from Krishna. Radha Rani, in her deep separation from Krishna, would search for Him. The word “Gaudiya” is synonymous with the intense separation felt by Radha Rani for Krishna, and Gauranga Mahaprabhu displayed the same ecstatic and intense emotions of separation. Essentially, Gaudiya Math guides its followers to develop that same feeling of separation from Krishna, akin to Radha Rani’s love for Krishna—the highest form of love for the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sri Krishna.

Vaishnavism Descending from Lord Chaitanya
Vaishnav Dharma has been present since the dawn of creation. The first living entity in this universe, Brahma, is a Vaishnava, as is his son Narada Muni. Lord Shiva is also a Vaishnava. A Vaishnava is one who belongs to Lord Vishnu, and since all living entities originate from Lord Vishnu, everyone is inherently a Vaishnava at birth. Thus, it is evident that Vaishnavism has existed since the beginning of creation.
